Default NEw radio is great... should I upgrade speakers?

I bought and installed a GPS Navigation DVD Car Stereo that is a factory-fit unit that looks totally stock. I love the navigation, and it looks awesome. The bluetooth is cool too. It has the Android OS and it is high-power.

My stock speakers sound so much better than they did on the factory radio. But I am wondering if they would sound even better if I upgraded to aftermarket speakers.

Has anyone ever upgraded their factory speakers?
Was there a dramatic sound difference from the stock?

The stock speakers actually look like they are made pretty well.

I bought the radio from Exact-Fit GPS Navigation Factory Radio Replacements

Much less $$$ than the dealer option. Cheaper than other aftermarket GPS/DVD radios too.
