Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default Rear Clunking / Crunching sound

New to this forum so if this is a common problem and has already been addressed I apologize. I have a 2018 Elantra Value Edition with 16k on the ODO. Within the last 1k miles I have developed a clunking / crunching sound from what appears to be the passenger side rear. This noise happens whenever I make a right hand turn. I'm thinking this has something to do with the sway bar or the sway bar linkage.

Any thoughts?

I have the same problem....i cannot find any help online to figure it out. Did you have any luck. I think it is either the exhaust or swaybar....but it appears to reduce after 10 mins of driving.

Usually worn suspension part noises don't diminish with use/miles.
Exhaust parts do expand when heated and could be the source of the noise.
