I'm new so sorry if this has been asked before. I have a 2001 GT hatchback (bought it new) and have loved it's looks from day one. I know that the '08 Elantra is a much better car than mine in all ways but I'm not getting into it's exterior style very much. It's just too...plain! My hatchbacks looks sporty and has been very versatile (my criteria is "can I place my bike in the back?"). Why did Hyundai discontinue the hatchback?

Truth be told! Americans don't like hatchbacks. They rather buy an SUV.

 

I have owned 5 hatchbacks and all were VERY functional.
Just wait they will come back.
