Alignment check for 2010 Elantra Touring - pulls to the right
I had a 2010 SE with exactly the same problem, pulling to the right even on the flattest of roads. I fought the problem for 15,000+ miles with absolutely no resolution, no matter what the dealer tried. At the end of a long trip, my hands and wrist would hurt from fighting the steering wheel.
Finally, i spent $600 of my own money and replaced the standard Kuhmo tires with Continental DWS. The problem went 100% away. I did nothing but replace the tires to fix the problem. No pulling, no matter the road. It has now been 20,000 on the Conti's with absolutely no pulling at all. Hope this helps.

Just purchased my 2012 ET SE with 17" Kumho wheels. Since day one no drift to either right or left. 450 miles now and my wife and kids and me love this thing. I test drove a 2012 Accent and that one had noticeable drift to right. Test drove the ET black beauty and the handling is very nice. Now I'm looking for the wing and better rubber mats and window tint. So far, my sister and wife have chosen the perfect car for me.
2009 Touring with 17" rims has a drift to the right. I've been driving it about three weeks now and have noticed that most of the time there is a slight drift/pull to the right. It has 10k miles; I bought it 2nd hand after it sat on a dealers lot for half a year. On my initial test drive I even told the salesman that it felt liked it pulled to the right. Despite, I still bought it of course
So what I've noticed is that the symptom is more like a drift and when it's going to the right the steering wheel seems a few degrees off center to the right. Also sometimes the car will drift left but not as often. The symptom seems dependent on the last position of the steering wheel; if i just steered right it will keep going right.. left will go left. When I notice it drifting right(the steering wheel is biased right) I will jerk the steering wheel left, past center, and the car will then tend to drift left!... It seems this doesn't matter with road crown. Also the car will drive straight on some trips that it previously drifted right on.
My observations have led me to think, along with some others on the forum, that this symptom is caused by the electronically assisted steering. Possibly it's a calibration issue..?
I'll be rotating the tires sometime and update with the results.

I would suggest to anyone who is feeling the car pull to one side is to measure the circumference of all 4 of the tires. This can be done relatively easily by using a string and wrap it around the tires just make sure it does not get into the tread's cicumferential grooves. Since it is comaprative I would not even bother measuring the string with a "ruler" or tape but just compare.
another dealer not in my state took a look at the alignment sheets on the car and said our problem is positive cross caster... front left is -4.5 and front right is -4 so they car has positive 1/2 degree of caster in the car... He said he would loose the front of the unibody and shift the front of the car to get rid of the positive caster and get it neutraul is a touch negitive and they would get rid of the pull and address a slight tracking issue... the dealer here will not do anything more since they say it is within spec even thought the in spec numbers could be causing the problem
