Default Red lens On doors

I have a red lens on the drivers and passengers door. What is it for?? I never saw a light come on. I did not see it in the manual either.

If it doesn't light when the headlights are on then it's probably just a reflector. Either way it's to let oncoming drivers see that your door is open at night.

Already took off the lens. They are just reflectors, only blank plastic behind it.
