Question Show ipod track title in display

Hi

Is it possible to set the radio up so that it displays the title of the track when i am playing music from my ipod?

Right now the displays shows something like 'dfferesss' I can push a button and then see the title, but I can't make the title stay displayed.

It would be cool if it was possible to set title display as default.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

-Sonny

How are you connecting the iPod to the head unit?

Yes, you need a specific cable from Hyundai. You can get it from a dealer or much cheaper here:

@ nova resource

I have been using the regular ipod USB and my 2012 elantra reads it by its file names. Will the cable you linked me to allow my hyundai to read my ipod by the artist name. I cannot chose what I want to listen to (unless i just use my aux jack, but that doesnt charge it) because its all in these crazy file names.

I'm looking into buying an Elantra Touring and looking at the Hyundai Auto Canada | Affordable New Cars | Best Economy Cars | Fuel Efficient Vehicles webside the iPod cable does not show up in the accessories for the ET like it does for the Elantra sedan. Does the 2012 have an iPod hook-up?

Not sure about other countries but in Canada the 2012 model trims were changed mid-production. Before the change there were four trim levels: L, GL, GLS, and GLS Sport. Now there are only GL and GLS. Although the GLS now has some things that it did not before the direct ipod connection that was inside the centre arm rest is gone. There is only aux and mini-usb on the face of the radio.
