just wanted to know if I have to go to the dealer to get the transmission fluid changed, or can I go to the place where I get my oil changed?
My van seems to be having issues with shifting gears, and jerks.
I have never been on here before, hope someone can assist me.
I do not use bad language, but after we get rid of this van, we will not purchase another one again, bought new and have had alot of issues with it. that have still not been resloved.

 

You will need to supply 6qt of your own ATF... Stop by the local Hyundai or Kia dealer and get the SP-III transmission oil.

I WOULD NOT let any Jippy monkeys have at it, pay a pro or let the dealer do it. ATF is checked in "N" with fluid hot and engine idle.

Got MIL illuminated ? May have codes somewhere that may relate to transmission concern or driveability issues..

 

How old is the van? Are you the original owner? It's probably still has the original warranty. If so, go to a dealer and get it fixed under warranty.

 

It is a 2007 yes we are the originial owner. It has 107865 miles on it.

 

I do not want to take it to the dealer. They r very rude!

 

Has the fluid ever been changed before? It should be changed every 30k miles. So it should have been changed 3 times already (at 30K miles, 60K miles and 90K miles). If it wasn't, that's probably your problem. You may need a new transmission.

Find another Hyundai dealer.
