Default How to replace the low beam bulb?

I am trying to figure out how to replace the low beam bulb in the passenger side headlight on my 2007 Entourage. A couple photos or a brief video clip would be ideal, but any descriptive info would be helpful. Thanks!

Incidentally, this is the third time this bulb has had to be replaced in the 2 years I've had the car (the dealer had done the previous replacements, but I really can't afford dealership repair prices right now!). My wife does run it with the low beams on during the day, but should the bulb burn out that often?

You have to remove the headlight to access the bulbs.

REPLACEMENT

1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

2.Loose the mounting bolts (2EA).

3.Remove the head lamp assembly after disconnecting the lamp connectors.

Take care that holding clip (A) is not to be damaged.

4.Remove the head lamp rear cover and pulling up head lamp bulb fixing wire clip.

5.Replace the bulb.

6.Installation is the reverse of removal.

Make sure you set the bulb into the socket correctly,,,,, and DO NOT remove the screw for the retaining wire, just unclip it and roll up so bulb will sneak past, install bulb, and re-attach retainer wire.

DO NOT TOUCH bulb glass with fingers....

Default Again?

I just replaced the bulbs four months ago and they both went out in the last week. Any ideas what might have caused this rapid burnout?

Did you touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers while installing them?

I'm not sure honestly. Would that shorten the life of the bulbs by that much?

If you touch the bulbs, the oil on your skin gets on the glass and creates a hot spot that can cause early failure. The bulbs need to be kept very clean when installing them. Don't let the glass portion of the bulbs touch anything.

Also, what type of bulbs did you use? Standard bulbs last longer. Aftermarker "brighter" bulbs slike SilverStars produce more light but don't last as long.
