I bought a 2014 Elantra Sport, manual. Runs great, but it maxes out at 80 MPH, 3,000 RPM down the interstate. I don't know if it was a fleet vehicle. All I can find is it was a one-owner. I assume they put a governor on it. Any idea what to look for or how to override?

 

Some engines have an "Engine speed limiter". You might check that out with a Hyundai service dept and maybe it can be programmed to allow a higher RPM.
