Default Your opinion, please.

Would you feel comfortable buying a '16 Genesis with a dealer replaced engine? The 3.8 was swapped with similar about 12k miles ago when the original had 40k. Something about "leaky seals" that the warranty covered. Being an old timer, the days of a rebuilt anything, think 60s and 70s American cars, was a warning sign. Clutch, transmission, engine, etc. Anyway the KBB is a little less than if engine had not been replaced. More details if needed, if anyone is interested. Thanks

I think whatever the drivetrain is? 60k? Once new engine installed. Private party. Inherit their warranty, so there is that to deal with. Probably 30k left. Saw a similar one at the car wash with white walls. It stood out. Sort of Lexus GS looking. Even without the white walls.

Just a follow up. A used Hyundai cuts the factory warranty from 10yr/100k miles to 5yr/60k miles. It sold, but had I know about the warranty slash, I'd pass. Too many caveats to rely on it being honored. Genesis is a nice looking car, though. I bought a '16 Sonata Hybrid, so i stayed in the Hyundai family. Cross your fingers.
