Default hyundai getz 1.1 quick ac ran out of water

Good afternoon, I have a 2008 getz (1.1 quick ac).
I had a problem yesterday because it struck me below nothing and I could not call it. The mechanic came and saw that he ran out of water and was surprised. He thinks that this particular model has as safety measure when there is overheating that of turning off the car. He is losing water and is already in the workshop. I just wanted to know if this model has this security measure or not. I hope the radiator was ...

That makes no sense to me. Could you please re-state or re-phrase??

I was never aware there was such a thing built into cars.
Mostly, people had to watch if the radiator or coolant temperature and manually turn off the engine if it got too hot.
But, guess maybe something new???

I suspect we have a language problem here. Apparently "he" must be the vehicle.

Yes there are some vehicles that will disable alternate cyls when an overheat condition surfaces. The disabled cyl do not get fuel and work only ad air movers to help with cooling.

Anyway, it seems we need to know why it ran low or out of coolant. Thoughts?

I'm using google translator. I do not speak english well. I apologize. Yes the hyundai ran out of water and replaced the radiator. It was all spoiled. Now I'll wait to see what's worse.

Just take it nice and easy and we should be able to offer help if necessary.

I believe what you are trying to say is,
The radiator was leaking , lost the water (coolant) and the cars engine might have overheated.
When that happens sometimes damage can happen and we are waiting to see if it did and then will ask more questions if necessary. is this right?
