Default Unknown steel ball inside oil system/crank?

Hi.

Short time ago I bought a very cheap 2011 H1 With a 2.5 D4CB-H Engine With a engine problem. Code-Reader said crankshaft sensor.
Towed it home and changed sensor. It fired up, but had a total lack of Power. It appeared the turbo was defect With a broken axle. And the oil was black and dirty from leaking injector seals. Decided to do the repair. Also took Down the oil pan to change bearings and oil pump. So far all well. But when removing the upper half of the nr.4 main bearing by rotating the crank, something dropped down from somewhere around the bearing area, down to the floor. It appeared to be a 6.5mm steel ball(bearing ball). I have been studying drawings of the engine and scratching my head intensely. But I can not understand where this ball came from. Only option may be from the oil opening in the crank journal. Maybe From oil-pump or filter-bypass valve coming all the way thru the crankshaft oil-channels. Yet I find it hard to believe that a ball this size would pass and be retained inside the rotating crankshaft without doing damage or making oil pressure symptoms as it would also be expected to have a function somewhere in the system.

Anyone who has an idea where it could come from? Are there any ***** like this somewhere inside the engine? I Can not find it in the repair manual. But it does not have exploded view of pump and oil filter adapter/bypass valve/oil cooler.

The oil pump has been ruled out as an answer to my mystery. Took contact with Hyundai dealer parts Department. They did a search but could not find any ball in their system. But they also said the valves of the filter adapter showed as one unit With no exploded view as in the engine manual and they could not say it does not contain a steel ball.
I have spent hours and hours on internet searching and watching videos without an answer.

Are there anyone at the forum who has had these valves open? Hoped someone could tell if they are plunger type and whether they contain a steel ball or not.
Hoping to avoid to demount the manifold/turbo again possibly for nothing.

A follow up on this.
Checked out the oil cooler / filter adapter housing. It only contain one valve of plunger type (Oil filter bypass). It remains a mystery how this steel ball ended up in the oil gallery.

Did you get a chance to open up the old oil pump assy and see if there is a spring and check ball in there ?

Yes. I did. It has a plunger type pressure regulator. No steel ball in there either. It's still a mystery.

Anyway It would have to pass the oil filter to get to where it was if it came from the pump. Not impossible as the filter bypass could have let it thru if the filter was blocked. But it's very little likely as it would have to open more than the 6.5mm.

Thanks. I will report back. If I just could get out the stuck injector seals it should be ready for start in not too long. Tried all the tricks I know. About to make a tool.

Time for an update. The engine has been started and idled to operating temp. No oil pressure related symptoms so far. Guessing and hoping the steel ball was a foreign object?

But I still have hard start, lack of power and now also blowby. I did not change the injector bolts. Was reading somewhere that they should be changed, without any reason given. So I thought they may be stretch bolts. I went to the local Hyunday dealer to order original bolts. At the counter I asked for the injector bolts and the customer rep. replied - The stretch bolts? I asked if they were stretch bolts. And he got uncertain. I ordered the bolts anyway. Went to pick them up today. Met another person there. He told me the bolts were not stretch bolts. I asked him to confirm the bolt torque and if there are any procedure. He searched, but told me they did not have access to that information. Not very impressed with the dealership! My manual does not say anything about stretch or not. No procedure given there either. Just 27.5 ~ 33.3 N torque.

Searched the forum and the web with little luck.
Can someone confirm the torque, procedure or not and stretch bolts or not?
