I made a stupid mistake. While working inside the vehicle, I unattached the hood release cable from the hooks at the driver's side front light area. I wasn't careful when closing up and I forgot to reattach before closing the hood. So, now when using the hood release lever inside, of course, there is no tension and it doesn't give you the first pop of the hood. I have done much research and heard everything from go in from the driver-side wheel well (two mechanics, dealer and other say there is no access) to the only thing that can be done is to crack the grill (dealer - $390 with another $390 in labor). Does anyone know anything better than this? I know I made a horrible mistake. I just wish there was a simpler way then paying the dealer $900 to repair.
