2004 MIL Light
I'm new to this foorum so sorry if i sound stupid. The other day when i was driving home the MIL light came on the dash. The star started to shake and it seemed like it has a loss of power. After a few seconds the light went off and the car went back to normal. Got home and put new plugs and wires on it. Did fine for a week then the same thing happened again. Also when i fill up the car with gas and go to start it, it wont start unless i have the pedal to the floor. What does this mean?

Hard start after refuel typically lead to a purge valve leaking...
Got MIL, get scan, and recover the stored DTC's, these will lead you to the circuit in which there is fault.
Look at the crank position for broken pigtail jacket and shorting of the 3 wires inside..

The MIL Is telling you there is a problem in 1 of the many input/output circuits to the PCM..
You need to have the PCM scanned to recover the DTC that tells you what circuit is at fault (based on PCM logic).. then you can proceed with diagnosis in correct circuit to remedy the fault..
Obtain the DTC(s) and we can proceed in correct order.
The purge valve is located behind the upper intake plenum.... refer to vacuum label under hood, follow hose from top center of throttle body as seen on the label to the purge solenoid.. or with new part in hand, look for part that looks just like what you have in hand.
