2006 Sante Fe brakes issue
Hi,
I have a 2006 Sante Fe 2wd 2.7 automatic.
I'm having an issue with the brakes I'm unable to locate the issue.
Currently when I apply the brakes while driving the brakes depress with a little pressure then lose pressure and go to the floor.
I have replaced the brake master cylinder and checked all the brakes at each wheel for any leaks and yet the problem persists.
Is anyone aware of an issue like this?
All the pads are good and all the disk calibers seem to be functioning well.
The brake fluid is clear and topped up but still, I have to floor the pedal to stop the vehicle. It initially has a little pressure so I can pump it several times to slow the vehicle and then floor the pedal to stop.
Any help is appreciated.

Did you bench bleed the master cyl before installation ? If not, there is a good chance you pumped air into the hydraulic system and this will now require a capable scan tool to operate the valves in the anti lock brake system to move out that trapped air.
Also,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sounds like you bought a defective master cyl, which these days is not unusual. For some reason there are a lot of them out there.
Pumping the brake pedal allows extra fluid to help while compressing that trapped air.
There is no SHORT CUT . The entire system needs to be purged and all air removed and pretty sure you don't have the equip to do a good job.
