2014 SF DM diesel transmission issue?
Hi,
I have a 2014 SF DM diesel that is not driving properly.
Symptom: When engaging any gear (drive or reverse) and the accelerator is pressed, the car transmission engages but the vehicle barely gains momentum. We have only tested this to 1500-2000 rpm
Background: The car had impact damage to the front with the bonnet, bumper assembly, radiator, radiator frame, cooler and impact bar all needing to be replaced. Unfortunately the car had to be driven forward about 5 meters during the repairs (radiator and cooler was off) and remainder coolant and oil pumped out. The parts have been replaced and reassembled. Since the slight drive forward of the car, the transmission does not seem to engage properly. The vehicle was driving perfectly, even with damage, prior to movement without radiator / cooler.
Request: Any ideas as to why would be appreciated. I assume this is some sort of fluid type problem however the oil, coolant and transmission fluid appears OK. Could be wrong. .I am happy to take this to a mechanic however I want to avoid any scams in terms of 'your transmission needs replacing' when I dont think it does.
