Default Santa Fe 2008 stereo removal question

Hi there !
I got all the parts and manuals to remove the original radio and replace it with my Sony aftermarket radio.
But i can't pull off the wooden panel below the AC control and above the ash tray ( center fascia panel).
Everything is so tight you cant put a blade between the gap and i dont know where the clips are. The hmaservice.com webpage isn't much help either.
There are two points to start removing the panel in my opinion, but i dont want to use force. You could pull out the ash tray and use a hook to pull at the
panel or you could start just right from the ignition.
Does anyone have any tip for me ?
Thanks .. Lothar
