I change my oil every 5 to 6k miles with synthetic you can go longer.

 

I use amsoil full sythetic, 25K or a year between changes. I usually change oil about 12K and the filter every 3k-5k. I've been using it since the break-in period was over. No problems, oil level never drops (at least noticeably). I feel better having it in there, especially during cold weather.
