Hello! I am new here and to the hyundai world.
My mother in law has a 06 sonata 2.4. It would not start one day out of no where. I checked the fuel pump and it was not working so i replaced it and it ran perfect. About 3 months later it starting losing power while driving and dying intermittently but would restart after i second or two. She stopped driving it because she was afraid of getting stranded. she had the car towed to my house.
I pulled each coil/plug wire and checked for spark and it is getting spark.
You can hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key.
I have checked all the fuses under the hood and they are all good.
I looked around to find possible cause and thought it might be the crank sensor. I replaced the crank sensor and still no start.
I am lost here! I dont want to thow $90 more dollars at it for a cam sensor unless im sure that is the cause.
Any one have any ideas?
