Default 2002 Alarm Issues...Please HELP!

[:@] I am so frustrated. I have a 2002 Sonata and the alarm keeps going off randomly. We cleaned the battery connectors, the positive had some corrosion but not anything crazy and the connections are good. We looked at possibly removing an "alarm fuse" but from what we can tell there isn't one. When the alarm goes off the parking lights blink and the alarm sounds for about 30 seconds. I really don't want to take it into the shop,I would rather just turn off the alarm. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do...If I don't do something soon my neighbors might start getting angry, since the alarm is going off in the middle of the night and waking them up.

Thanks for your help,
Cheryl

First, I would find out why the alarm is going off. Is one of the door sensors bad?

Thanks for the suggestion. I would love to check the door sensors, however, I am not sure where they are or how to actually check them. I will also check the hood and trunk, if I can figure that out as well. Is there a way to turn off the alarm?
