2004 2.4 starts then stalls
I have replaced the crank sensor and the sensor blade as well as a new timing belt. Scan tool showed the crank sensor code.
The engine still exhibits the same problem, starts then after about 3 to 5 seconds stalls.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

starts then stalls solved
Ok so first scan showed crank sensor code only. I installed a new crank sensor and the sensor blade as well as a new timing belt. The old belt showed cracks.
Not to bad really once I learned about the gravity test for the balance shaft, and how to keep the cams from rotating off the marks, while I installed the belt.
The crank sensor was not defective. The engine still had the same symptoms, start run for a few seconds then stall.
The battery was weak and the starter noise was terrible.
I replaced the starter motor and the battery. Presto no more crank sensor code. PO335 code is set when the sensor signal is not detected by the ECM during the first few seconds of engine cranking.
Now scan shows the cam sensor code. Put in a new cam sensor. Engine starts and runs great.
Hope this helps someone

Glad you got it running. You should have replaced the balance shaft belt, it appears old in the pic. When these break the take out out everything ,, bend the blades and break sensor. Also can cause engine to jump time and bend valves.
