2006 Sonata
86k miles, 06 Sonata no issues, lost oil pressure and spun a bearing...on the freeway. Toast.
Bought a low mile replacement from recycler and installed. Idled, but would not drive. No throttle. Retrained ECM, throttle position, cleared CEL codes, ran ok for a very short while. Multiple random misfires, crankshaft position error, cam position error, p0016.
Replaced VVT, O2, crank position and cam position sensors, rough idle, still won't get above 2k RPM without dying. Still getting P0016 code.
I'm about to lose my mind.

Unfortunately , a used engine comes with no guaranty it will run when the job is finished.
Your best bet will be to start from scratch and check the timing components and while in there replace some of them, in the proper sequence.
This should have been done before installing the engine..
I realize it stinks to go through all this trouble, but when you start from the middle of a check out ,there is always a possibility of missing something important.
