2006 Sonata - Where to Tap the Tachometer on a Remote Starter?
Ok so it happened again. Last August I got a check engine light on my 06 Sonata LX - sensor coded DTC P0300H which showed after further inspection that my aftermarket remote starter was tapped for the tachometer wire off of injector #6. So I had a very nice Hyundai tech remove the wire and repair the fuel injector harness......
I ate the $100 and I brought it back to the place that installed it and asked them to tap off the tachometer directly off of the coil. I'm not sure where they tapped it but I just recoded again ( 1 year later ) that I'm getting a misfire again somewhere ( strange that it's not coding a specific injector again - perhaps b/c it's off the coil ) so now I'm in another predictament......
If Hyundai can repair this problem (again) and I bring it somewhere else does anyone know where is the proper place to tap off for the tachometer output? A picture would be amazing if possible and certaintly appreciated b/c I'm not only frustrated but at a dead end here I think.
Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks again in advance.
I should mention that the unit is an AUDIOVOX PRESTIGE APS786
