2011 Sonata Se 2.4 STARTING ISSUES
I have a 2011 Sonata Se 2.4 with automatic transmission that starts most of the time but not all the time. When it does not start, I press the start button and the dashboard lights up but it will not start. Somebody told me to jiggle the shifter or move shifter from PARK to REVERSE then back to PARK. When I do this, the car always starts. Does anybody know what is wrong with my car? A girl I know had the same problem and the dealership replaced the starter. Why would the issue be a bad starter when the car starts up with no problem 80%-90% of the time? If moving the shifter gets the car to start, it makes more sense for the problem to be something like an inhibitor switch issue.
