Default Akebono Pads for an 07 Sonata

Hey. Just seeing if anyone's used Akebono pads on their Sonata and how they felt about them. GF is having problems with her brakes and the stealership is trying to rob her. Akebono's ceramic pads seem a nice, midrange ceramic and I've seen decent reviews elsewhere. Basically looking for a quiet, long-lasting pad with minimal dust and decent stopping power so if people have other recommendations I'd love to hear 'em. Her car has 37k on it and the pads are down around 15%. I'd just get some Hawk ceramics but she doesn't want me dropping $150+ on pads for her car. She's also been getting a 'bump' in the front right suspension. Might be sway links but I'm gonna double check when I'm changing the pads.

Also if anyone has access to DIYs for changing pads with a Sonata I would appreciate the read. Doesn't sound like there's anything unique to pad swaps for Hyundai's and I have a brake tool kit and a square caliper piston adjusting tool for the rears. Hopefully its as easy as my RX-8.

EDIT: I attached the 'repair' info from HMA since I can't find any DIYs beyond what's in the shop manual which honestly looks easy enough. Unzip w/folders to view the images.

Question Hello Member...

I'm not sure if I ever heard of AKEBONO brake pads..are you sure that is what your looking at?
The reason I'm saying that is because I have heard of Calipers on these cars .I |Have 2 of them...and that question has come up as to wheather I have AKE of Bono Calipers..which is what is stamped into the sides of the calipers..

Yeah. Akebono Pads.

It's between those and Centric Posi-Quiet pads. Centric seems to get better reviews. Both are priced around the same.
