My wife has a 2016 sonata, lately the radio cuts out every once in a while, for a few seconds, and when it does, on board screen reverts to start up, then after a few , it comes back. Anybody ever run into this? Or should i just take it to the stealer...........oops. i mean dealer. thanks guys.

A good part of the time when the system loses power for some reason the results can be like what you describe.

If the dealership has a good tech to assign to the problem, it might be found and repaired sooner than another shop.
Intermittent problems can become very time consuming and baffling also. Because the vehicle is relatively new, the dealership may have information not always available to outside shops. It is a tough decision and you might pay a little more at the dealership, but when electronics become involved , relevant info is critical.
