Hi
I have a 2002 sonata sedan with push button climate control,when ever I start the car the air is automatically turned on, any ideas what this may be or what may be sticking? appreciate any help!!!!!!

On our 2009 Sonata Limited, if its below freezing temperature, ours will automatically activate the defrost mode (along with the AC compressor) for a few minutes at every start to help defrost windows - after a few minutes, it will change back to AUTO mode and the AC/defrost mode will turn off automatically.
Maybe its the same on your model/year?

When the defrost/defog is selected, either by itself or in combo with the floor vent, the AC comes on. Sort of a good idea in that the defog works better with AC on but NOT fun when it's below zero outside LOL! Nonetheless it was designed that way.
