I changed the oil and the filter today. let it drip for 15-20 minutes. put 4.8 quarts in (book says 4.77 but oh well) and checked the level. there is nothing on the dip stick. drove it around the block check again natta. nothing. It's the v6 and has 16,800 miles. got it from an old lady whos husband died and she had the maintanence papers on it . it was changed on time every time. what should i do? im not getting an oil light and she seams to be driving fine.

yes the dip stick is all the way down and i was thinking the same thing about just not being able to see it. especially since it only has 16,500. ive put about 150 miles on it since. ill check it again in the morning.

Dip stick error
I have the opposite problem. I have a 2008 Azera Limited 3.8L
Doesn't matter if I get an oil change at the dealer or do it myself and put in the correct 5 1/2 quarts, the dip stick always shows 1/2 quart too much. Checked with parts dept and it is the correct dip stick. Its been the same for all Azera models. Weird to say the least.
