Default Code help needed p1326

Hey everyone - first post while being here. I’ve tried to search for codes online and had some weird results come up but my 11 sonata with a 2.4 cut off today and started up in limp mode - won’t rev past about 1700rpm. I rented a scanner from autozone and it came up at p1326. I tried calling Hyundai but was placed on hold without warning and never got a hold of anyone (I tried three times). Any ideas?

Just an update - got a different dealer on the line but could not tell me anything unless speaking to a tech. Called meineke - they called me back and said it was a crank position sensor - but that being said- symptoms fit but the code is different?

This is what I would do,
Since you have the scanner, clear the code(s).
Start the vehicle again and see what code it sets. The code you listed does not usually apply to your vehicle.
Maybe you entered the incorrect info for the scan tool to provide the correct info.
Let's see what you get after you recheck everything.

Did that- same code. It only allowed me to enter it being a Hyundai. Not the model or engine type- that being said- the symptoms match the knock detection system for the bottom end failure. It may have to go to Hyundai and he one of the half million recalled.

You could be right, but if you have a useless scan tool , you are working with one hand tied behind your back.

The info you have provided so far is incomplete and practically impossible to come to any worthwhile conclusion.

Have you considered having another shop check the vehicle?

It was a fast turn around- they had it done in just under three days. Granted- I was told I needed the complete strut assembly, ball joints, sway bar links and tie rods. Brought it home only to find that I only needed one outer tie rod that was replaced less than a year ago (boot ripped), a strut mount and stabilizer bar links lol. Fortunately, I did it all myself.

Anytime steering or suspension parts are replaced , a front end alignment should be done. Tire wear pattern will show if not done.
