decreased fuel economy with code P2099
Hello,
Please help,
Had been seeing a substantial decrease in fuel economy for a while.
Had seen averages drop from 32-34mpg to 26-28mpg on highway driving. Drop from mid 20's to low 20's city.
Then on a long trip across country the check engine light came on.
Diagnosis code P2099 received. Post Catalyst Fuel Trim system too Rich Bank 2.
Surprisingly immediately after the code and a reset fuel economy returned. I was shocked to see a check engine light result in a fix.
Anyway after a few months fuel economy dropped again but despite waiting no check engine light fix.
Anyone have any experience with this? Does anyone know what needs fixing?
There is no code present at this time. I'm thinking the code popped with the check engine light?
