I just purchased a 2011 Sonata and it came with the factory IPod cable. It works great other than not being able to get stereo sound out of it. Am I doing something wrong? I tried adjusting the balance and fader but nothing seems to work. Thank you for your help!

 

The factory iPod cable only works with certain iPods, as my wife and I also found out. There is a list of those iPods somewhere, I forget now where we found it. But I know it doesn't work with the iPhone, sound only comes out the cars left side speakers when we tried it. If you get one of those cables from Radio Shak that plugs into the headset hole on the iPod, then it works just fine...just can't use the stereo/steering wheel controls to change songs, etc.
