Help! Acceleration issues causing 2012 Sonata Hybrid to not accelerate
My 2012 Sonata Hybrid has been having very consistent acceleration issues ever since the transmission was replaced by Hyundai 4 years ago. After driving for an hour on the freeway, when coming to a stop either exiting the freeway or in traffic, pressing down the gas pedal sometimes will do NOTHING for 5-8 seconds and then finally drives. I have the gas pedal down all the way. It is very dangerous. The problem has been getting worse and more consistent, especially now that I moved and drive further distances around my new home.
I brought it into a Hyundai dealership last week and they drove it around, ran diagnostics, but could not reproduce the issue or find anything wrong. I told them it ONLY happens when driving the car for about ~1 hour first to fully warm it up. They refused to drive the car for an hour and would only drive it for about 10-15 mins at a time. I told them that's pointless because the issue does not present itself until it's fully warmed up. They charged me $200 for diagnostic because they refused to drive the car long enough to experience the issue. I only have 11k miles left on the warranty and want to make sure this problem is resolved before warranty runs out.
Note: All recall work has been done on this car prior to this issue.
Has anyone had this issue or have any recommendations on what I should do?

Can we ask what was the original problem that caused them to replace the trans ?
Is any chance you can try a different dealership service dept, while it is still under warranty?
