Hyundai Sonata Model Yr classification?

Hyundai Sonata Model Yr classification?
Hi,
I just read on Wikipedia that Hyundai sonata has had 4 iterations so far. I was wondering why the forum doesn't identify the car according to this classification.
From Wikipedia:
Gen1: 1988-1992
Gen2: 1993-1998
Gen3: 1999-2004
Gen4: 2004-present
It would be much easier to find model specific questions/faq if the different generations of the car were correctly identified.
Just a thought.
(OR maybe I've got enough time to kill and couldn't find a better suggestion to post here
).
