All the Hyundai documentation is telling me regular maintenance at 7,500 mile intervals vs. dealership is telling me 3,750 mile? Is dealership looking to "up sell" or is Hyundai trying to keep annual maintenance costs down for 5 year total cost of ownership quote?

Love the car, just want to make sure it lasts...

What "Hyundai documentation"? There are 2 intervals for maintenance, regular and severe driving. 7,500 miles is for regular driving and 3,750 miles is for severe. Since most people drive under the definition of severe driving (city driving, idling, stop and go traffic, driving in snow, etc) I'd go with the 3,750 miles plan.

 

Thanks! Owner's manual and Hyundai website show at 7,500 but I didn't pick up on regular vs. severe. My driving is either 6 miles round trip on back roads to the train station or 230 miles round trip 1X a week to office.
