Has anyone seen a solution to the Remote Start challenge with the 2011 Sonata Limited Proximity Key system? The two installers I have contacted both said they would have to 'hide' a key fob in the vehicle for Remote Start to work.
I'm not terribly excited about buying another fob just for Remote Start.

 

Module only allows 2 to be programmed at any given time.

 

there are bypass modules that allow you to install alarm and remote starters on the hyundai's with smart key. try looking at xpresskits.com and also idatalink.com

 

Was told by dealer that mine was their first install w/smart key. Does not work without smart key. Can't see logic in hiding smart key under dash...wouldn't that make it a tad easy to steal??!! Wonder if Autostart has any answers. I won't be carrying both fobs around so I can use the remote start. Will have it taken out until someone figures this out.
