You know how it is when 2 old friends meet after a period of time !
From what you describe, I would be very suspicious of the crank sensor on your vehicle.
They don't usually throw any codes and can be intermittent along with affecting how the spark is delivered and the engine performs.
It can also affect fuel delivery.
Second and third opinions never hurt , what if you ran this suggestion by the shops you use?
