I have a 2011 Sonata. When I connect my USB drive to the USB connection in the car, the screen indicates that it is "READING" and then eventually stops and says, "NO MEDIA CONNECTED".

The drive is a Western Digital that houses all my music files. It was originally formatted and used with my Mac (which I thought may have been the issue). So, I reformatted in NTFS and copied my music back onto it. I'm still getting the same error.

I can't find any information in the Hyundai documentation I have that indicates any special setup or limitations for the kind of USB drive that will work.

I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with this problem and if you were able to find a solution.

Try formatting the drive FAT32.
