Stereo switch on steering wheel
So as of now, I have my 2008 sonata and loving it. We had planned on keeping the stock stereo in instead of putting my in dash tv and 2 headrest tvs in. But now my 2 year old cant watch "Cars" going down the road and whines too much for me. The biggest and only thing im going to miss though is the remote on the steering wheel, does anyone know what the peice is called that allows you to use it on a aftermarket head unit?
WOW! Sorry, but kids today are just spoiled rotten! When I grew up, me,my older sister and my younger brother were all jammed together in the back of a tan Plymouth sedan with no A/C, dark brown vinyl seats and an AM radio with one speaker in the dash. That was alot of fun on those hot summer road trips.
I guess we adults are spoiled too since it's too hard to reach over to the center of the dash to control the radio. Sorry, just my opinion. I'd go to Crutchfield and ask them if they have anything that will allow the factory steering wheel controlsto operate your aftermarket HU. Another option is just getting a hand-held DVD player for your 2-year-old. That way you could bring the player anywhere, not just the car.

It's not a matter of lazyness, more of an issue I paid for the steering wheel thing, so Might as well use it. As for the TV issue, we have one, but he wont watch it after him getting used to the headrest TV's. Guess that was a mistake getting him used to those though.
