Exclamation Water Spilled in Center Console Storage

Hi,

I have a 2018 Hyundai Sonata Limited. I have spilled Water in Center Console Storage. I have removed the matt and wipe as much as I can. I wanted to know if there is anything under the console that the water can damage? Do I need to get it check by the Dealer?

Most of the time If the moisture is allowed to evaporate and dry , we don't have much of a problem. Do what ever you can to dry up as much of the moisture as you can and help it dry. Keeping it warm and air moving will allow most of the moisture to go away. As long as it was just plain clear water you should be OK.

So to be honest it was not water it was that New Car Smell Spray and that got leaked. I am worried if anything under the center console storage can get damage. I clean everything inside the storage and left lots of tissue there so it can absorb moisture.

Unless the console is taken apart to see just where the liquid went ,,,, it's a guess at best.
I would suggest, however, to change the tissue daily to insure the most absorption. .
