Wet Carpet-Water Leak?-2019 Sonata
Recently I noticed hearing water sloshing about during cornering.
Also the passenger side carpet is soaking wet.
It appears that water is dripping from under the dash board, but uncertain.
The weather has been dry for the last 10 days, so rain does not appear to be the cause.
Has anybody heard of this and had it fixed??
Thanks,
Jay

Hi Jay,
You didn't say how long ago you first heard the sloshing, anyway,
If you have been using the air conditioning , moisture that condenses on the evaporator has to drain out of the vehicle.
Have you noticed anything like that on the ground when parked ?
There is a evap drain rubber tube in the engine compartment on the lower passenger side of the firewall. You will have to look for it , but if your vehicle has AC it's there !
If that drain gets blocked by debris like leaves that fall into the area below the wipers , that can contribute to plugging up that drain.
There is always the possibility of coolant leaking from the heater core, but not likely with a 2019 year vehicle, although anything is possible.
Last , but not least, high pressure from a car wash , maybe ??
