Default CADS "Klonk" and delay

My TC is stick shift/part time manual.
During situations, in which the rear wheels loose traction and spin, and I there after engage 4WD, the rear wheels have to take several turns before the front wheels connect with a rather load "klonk". This is annoying fx. when you want to go up a hill, which turns out to be slippery. During the period in which the rear wheels spin, and the 4WD is engaged, and the rear wheels keep spinning before the CADS can syncronize front and rear, the vehicle might be slipping down the slope.
According to Hyundai, this is normal - But I have not been able to verify whether or not other TC owners have the same experience.
Any input? [sm=feedback.gif]

Hi Dane

there is not a good practice to connect the front axle in the midle of the slope, when the difficulties arise. It is better to begin the slope wiht 4x4 engaged and with a low range gear.

The system is designed to change from 2x4 to 4x4 when both axles are spinning at same velocity.

Un saludo desde Madrid (Spain)
