Hey all, new to these forums but i've tried posting this problem on another forum and didn't really get any answers. For the past day or so whenever I go to start in 1st gear, as soon as I start letting the clutch out it feels like it's rubbing and grabs HARD. There is no in between, either the clutch is fully disengaged or engaged. The car is a V6 SE 6 Speed with 40,000 miles.

Also while driving in first gear there is a slight vibration noise which I can't really pinpoint. It's not loud enough to tell exactly where it's coming from.

I've read about the notorious 6 speed clutches being low quality, but I don't drive hard often and I'm only the second owner of the vehicle. I'm taking it to the shop monday to get it checked out, but wondering if anyone else has had this problem before.

 

Sounds like it's time for a new clutch. Bummer.
