Rear hub and bearing comes as an assembly.. there is no pressing involved.

Large axle nut remove, slide the old part off, slide new part on the axle stub...

Smart thing to do before install new hub is to take and pull the inner races apart slightly so you can see gap between the races in the bore --> take and pack a bunch of real bearing grease in the groove so it gets in and fills around the ***** and races of the bearing.. your bearing will thank you and last longer.

I prefer to use MOBIL-1 synthetic grease in there..

Exclamation Thanks but I think you misunderstood.

..I know all about the hub bearing dissasembly but i need to go one layer further and figure out how to diagnose and remove the spindle/axle stub that the hub slides onto. I know the hub and hub bearing are good so im thinking the noise is from the axle stub/spindle.

There is nothing to diag there... the stub is just a big solid peg with threads on end to hold bearing/hub on the stud... it just sits there.. slide the hub/bearing off, and look at the stub... I will venture it is clean, nice and round, and no problem found... your rotating part is what going to make noise.
