GRINDING/FRONT DRIVER SIDE
OK, heres the deal, i thought my bearings were going bad in the front driver side, but the noise would come and go, so i thought that maybe some trash got onto my rotors. well, within the last couple days, a new noise showed its face. its a really bad, grinding and sqeaking noise. checked it out, and i'm left with 1 of4 possibilities. 1. its still the bearing which should get changed but i hightly doubt it could make the noise i'm hearing. 2. cv axle, seems like there is more play on that side then passanger side. 3. the bearings in the trans housing for the cv. 4. the transaxle is shot. Now i would think that if it was the transaxle or even the cv, i would feel it in the steering wheel or when i get on the gas. the car drives true without any shaking.
So basically, lots of noise, mostly with right hand turns, but no shaking or loss of drivablity. I know its hard to determine what it would be without hearing it and driving the car, but maybe you guys have had this happen or heard of something similar.
