Just bought a 2004 tib gt:)
Is it a manual or no? If it is beware of clutch and take it easy on it. Hyundai factory clutches can't and won't take abuse and they're "easy shift" system causes clutch to slip whether you like it or not. Plus when the clutch goes the flywheel goes and you have to pay to replace both which is usually around 2000.00 if you have the dealer do it. Otherwise I think the cars 04-06 are pretty solid. 03's had some recall stuff but nothing major. The Tiburon's major weakness mechanically is the clutches. I have a 6-speed and I'm preparing for the day when the clutch fails. I want to replace mine with a high quality after marked clutch and flywheel but there's a good chance from what Ive heard that Hyundai will void the warranty unless Hyundai parts are used. Despite all that I love the car and Hyundai is starting to grow on me.
