Default shifting

hi i have a 2000 2.0 tiburon with a 5spd transmission and it shifts fine but when i try to step on it it seems to slip up a little bit and act like im pushing in the clutch i assume that it believes i am pushing the clutch in and it disengaging due to the smell of the clutch burning up as if i had the clutch pushed in while i was driving in gear. what could be wrong with it i know the owner before me replaced the slave cylinder though he wasnt all that mechanically inclined but it compresses like its suppose to and i did bleed the slave cylinder.

How many miles are on your current clutch? Possibility that the clutch is going out.
