Unhappy Tiburon transmission

Hi Guys,
I am stumped on how to get the gear box out of my 2000 tiburon. All unbolted but can only get it back about 2 inches. It acts like the presure plate pulls it back in. I have used brute force and no go. Can anyone help, Please. Autoslave...

Did you remove the clutch actuator control arm? You have to remove it, or the forks will hold on to the release bearing. Just remove the one bolt on top and pull the arm off. It's the arm that the slave cylinder presses.

If you did remove it, then there also is a bracket which holds the connector for the crankshaft sensor. Make sure you take off that bracket.
