Default 2006 Tucsan stalling

My wife's 2006 Tucsan has been stalling periodically when coming to a stop. It starts just fine afterwards. Any suggestions as to what the cause may be?I was thinking it may be the throttle position sensor...no fault code is tripped.

Just occasionally, but is happening for often. It seems to loose power, then stalls when slowing to a stop.

My wife's 2006 Tuscon is doing the same thing, started about 2 weeks ago, Has done it 3 times so far, very random when it does., Last night when she came home, she had me listen to the engine, it was idling funny, like it could find the right place, revving and little then getting real slow, engine did not stall, when she tapped the accelarator, it started idling normal. will be taking t to the dealer, will let you know what they find

Sounds like the same problem my wifehad. It was the throttle position sensor (TPS). The vehicle did not give a malfunction code until after the dealer drove it around for a while. They were troubleshooting other components like the catalytic converter, but once the code was kicked out for the TPS, it only took them 15 minutes to fix. Here is a word of advice; tell them that you suspect the TPS and for them to check it first. My wife's Tucson is running just fine.

Just try to bump the post as my 2006 Tuscon have the same issue recently. The enginekeeps stalling unexpectedly oftenin particularly driving slowly. There is no error code on my car and my dealer said nothing can be done. Did any one get it fixed?Should itry to ask them to check the TPS and the intake hose as suggested? Any bulletin out for the issue as it is reported by many?

I also had the same exact problem with my 2006 Tucson (just rolled over into 25,000 miles). It threw a couple of codes:

My work order says "Scan Tool PO0123C TPS - Replaced TPS Sensor." Description of part: Sensor Assy-Throt #35170-37100. Additionally, the "ESC Off" light had been intermittently coming on. My work order says "Scan Tool C1513 Brake Lamp Switch." Description of part: Switch Assy-Stop #93810-3K000.
After some initial problems with a faulty replacement "pressure switch" (which left me stranded on the side of the road), car is running again.

I have been having the same problem for about 2 months now (2006 Tucson as well). The first time I brought it to the dealer they replaced the transmission fluid, which apparently didn't help. They "could not replicate the problem." I had a few good weeks until it started again. As of yesterday, it stalled out once and then the 4WD malfunction light started blinking. The car felt like it was going in and out of 4WD, making it impossible to drive. Let's see what they come up with this time...
