Default 2008 Tuscon limited 4wd factory radio problems

I just recently acquired a 2008 Tuscon limited. and am having problems with the factory radio randomly turning it's self off. Every time the radio powers itself off it also loses its user preset stations and eq settings like a total power loss. I also noticed the stereo volume even at maximum when its working is about half as loud as it should be compared to any other cars I have been in. I have checked the 2 fuses labeled audio and the one labeled amp in the driver side fuse panel. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as the local Hyundai dealer I called basically said to go to the local best buy and replace it with a better unit.

Hi Dj450,
I do not have the same problem with the radio powering off. But my radio would just freeze up when it got cold. Lights would be on in panel but no sound or ability to switch channel. We unhooked the battery cables and voila, it powers back on. Not sure why the cold temps have anything to do with it or whether unhooking the battery cables will help you but wanted to share my experience.
