Ok let me explain.
Bought new Tucson limited in december 2016.
Driving home heard a sort of rumble/booming noise at 67mph and above that seem to come from rear.Thought it maybe flat spot on tires from sitting so gave it a few days before calling and mentioning it to dealer. They told me to keep driving it then at first service get tires checked balanced and rotated.Fast forward to first service (around 4000 miles) ALL 4 tires were chopping on inside and a couple also chopping on outside.Rotating tires no help.
Hyundai USA get involved.Changed 4wd coupler ,booming still there.Changed rear internals(apparently), no change.Told out drive shaft, booming stopped.
So they said it was transmission issue so they changed that ( why it wasn't classed as lemon by now I don't know) Booming noise cured but no clue as to why tires chop.
Hyundai agree to help with purchase of new tires in case issue isn't cured.
After 5000 miles on new tires ALL are chopped badly.Tracking is spot on .Been checked many times.
Called Hyundai and they have washed there hands of the issue and basically told me tough ****, we tried but failed.We are doing nothing more
Never buy Hyundai again.
Anybody else had this booming or chopping issue with tires??
